NBBI / NB “R” Stamp Certification

Airfins is certified by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBBI) and authorized to apply the NB “R” Stamp for the repair and alteration of pressure vessels.

The NB “R” Stamp is a globally recognized certification that confirms repairs and alterations are performed in strict compliance with the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC), ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory acceptance of pressure equipment throughout its service life.

Under the NB “R” Stamp authorization, Airfins is qualified to carry out:

• Repairs and alterations of pressure vessels

• Replacement of pressure-retaining components

• Code-compliant modifications and restoration work

All repair and alteration activities are executed under a documented and audited Quality Control System, using qualified welding procedures, certified welders, and approved inspection methods.

Repairs are performed under the supervision of an Authorized Inspector, and each NB “R” stamped job is supported with complete documentation, including the applicable NB “R” Forms, ensuring full traceability and compliance with statutory requirements.

The NB “R” Stamp assures continued pressure integrity, operational safety, and extended equipment life. This certification enables Airfins to support operating plants, shutdowns, and revamp projects across oil & gas, energy, chemical, and industrial sectors — both in India and internationally.
